Map of the Veneto wine areas
Pick a wine to see where its grapes may be grown, or tap a town to see which wines its vineyards can make. 42 of the 53 denominations name their municipalities; the others cover whole provinces or a zone traced by roads.
Choose a wine area from the list, or tap a municipality on the map. Darker towns sit inside more wine areas.

How the map is drawn
Each wine area is shaded through the municipalities its production rules (disciplinare) list, wholly or in part. Many zones stop at a road or a contour line inside a municipality, so the shading shows where a zone can lie, not the vineyard boundary itself. Where the rules name an older municipality that has since merged, the map shades today's larger one. Where a zone runs on into Lombardy, Trentino-Alto Adige or Friuli Venezia Giulia, the municipalities its rules name there are shaded too, and provinces it covers whole are drawn as far as the map reaches.
